CHERRY-GO-ROUND 업체 x 체리장

<CHERRY-GO-ROUND>는 진보와 반동이란 대립적 개념 속에서 전개되는 정치·경제·사회적 실천에 대해 물음을 던지는 작업이다. 체리장이란 가상공간의 주체를 중심축으로 삼아 시공간이 분절된 세 개의 서사를 짜깁기한 영상의 맥락 속에서 작가는 의심의 눈초리로 현실을 바라본다. 

<CHERRY-GO-ROUND>의 체리장과 업체Eobchae는 다음과 같은 도발적인 질문을 제기한다:

누가 스스로 전위라 선언하는가?

그들의 소위 전위적 실천은 무엇을 앞당기는가?

수레바퀴 안의 우리는 회전의 방향을 알 수 있는가?

수레바퀴는 앞을 향해 굴러가고 있는가? 혹은 굴러가는 방향이 곧 앞이 아닐는지?

CHERRY-GO-ROUND (EOBCHAE X CHERRY JANG)

CHERRY-GO-ROUND questions about the political, economic, and social practice within the backdrop of the contrasting concepts of progress and reactionism. eobchae x Cherry Jang casts a wary eye on the reality in the context of a video, a composite of three narratives taking place in different times and places with Cherry Jang as the key character in the virtual space.

CHERRY-GO-ROUND's Cherry Jang and Eobchae raise the following provocative questions. 

Who declares themselves as avant-garde?

What does their so-called "avant-garde" practice advance?

Can we know the rotating direction of the cartwheel when we are inside it?

Are we sure that the cartwheel is rotating forward? Could it be the other way?
