<Stroll, Scroll and Sight>

이 작업은 인간이 이 세계를 경험하기 위해 처음 시작한 행동인 걷기(Stroll)와 지금 현대인이 가장 많이 하는 행동인 스크롤(Scroll)이라는 행위 그리고 새로운 시각적 경험(Sight)을 하게 하는 인간의 행위에 주목한다. 보고, 걷고, 뛰고 눈앞에 있는 장애물을 넘어가며 이 세상을 극복해온 인간은 이제 손가락의 움직임으로 이 세상을 스크롤하며 마치 게임 속 각종 장애물을 피해가는 것처럼 빠른 길과 목표를 검색한다. 움직임에 대한 개념은 발전하는 기술에 의해 매 순간 변화되며 인간의 존재는 기술에 의해 끊임없이 재정의되며 재 매개된다. 이러한 생각을 바탕으로 이번 작업은 인간이 이 세상을 감지하기 위해 하는 기본적 행동인 걷기부터 지금 눈앞 스크린을 스크롤하는 행위 그리고 VR고글 착용하고 허공을 움직이며 이 세상을 인지하려는 인간의 시각과 행동으로 연결된다. 드론을 이용하여 촬영한 비디오와 디지털애니메이션 그리고 3D 애니메이션의 형식이 결합된 디지털아트작품이다.

이 작품은 현대자동차그룹에서 미디어아티스트에게 수여하는 제2회 VH Award 에서 우수상을 수상하며 제작한 작품이다. 현재 현대자동차그룹 인재개발원에 위치한 아시아 최대크기의 미디어월에서 상영 중이며 2017년 아르스 일렉트로니카 페스티벌에 초청되어 아르스 일렉트로니카 센터내 딥스페이스8K라는 전세계 유일한 8K 고화질 입체프로젝션 공간에서 상영되었다.

<Stroll, Scroll and Sight>

Stroll, Scroll and Sight narrates a human story of getting through sufferings, and the journey is described by multiple viewpoints which are invented from media history. Through a first-person perspective of drone and second person perspective of computer game, audiences become a God, gamer and virtual ‘I’ in the artwork. The artist induces audience to experience the relationship among human, art and technology with their eyes, ears and body. Through these diverse interpretations, the artist unfolds a meditative story of human.

This work was produced after winning the Excellence Award at the 2nd VH Award given to media artists by Hyundai Motor Group. It is currently being screened at Asia's largest media wall located at Hyundai Motor Group's Human Resources Development Center. In 2017, it was invited to the Ars Electronica Festival and screened in the world's only 8K high-definition stereoscopic projection space, Deep Space 8K, in the Ars Electronica Center.
