작업 노트  

미셀 시카르와 모간 몰레이의 사진들에서는 기차와 숲, 물, 파도, 비, 눈, 심지어 위협적이고 조각난 자연 같은 모티브들과 함께, 속도와 모호함, 유동성과 공허함의 효과가 지배적이다. 그들 작업의 미학은 자연을 구성하는 원소들과 인간의 신체 사이의 모호한 경계 위에서, 그리고 이질적인 소재들과 동일하지 않은 시간적 구조의 다층적인 뒤섞임 위에서 작동한다. 

그들은 2020년 출간된 저서 <사진의 간섭적 시간. Interferential Time in Photography>을 통해 우주의 시간 안에서 조형 사진의 새로운 이론을 제시한 바 있다. 

<무슨 일이 일어나고 있는가?>:  

다수의 작품을 세 개의 기둥에 함께 수직적으로 결합하여 전시하는 해당 시리즈에서는, 이미지 안에서 나타나는 균열한 구조를 통해 문명에 의해 위협받고 있는 자연의 모습이 제시된다. 

<그럼에도 불구하고, 왜>: 

인간뿐 아니라 모든 자연에 영향을 미치는 화학적, 세균학적, 혹은 바이러스의 위협으로  

인해 스산하고 척박해진 불모의 장면들이 보인다.  

Artist Statement

In their series of photographs dominate the effects of speed, blur, fluid, emptiness with themes such as trains, forests, water, waves, rain, snow, or even threatened, fragmented nature. Their aesthetic works on the indecisive boundaries between bodies and natural elements, interwoven in heterogeneous materials and different times.  

Published in 2020, the book Interferential Time in Photography is both a thought on time in the universe, a theory for new plastic photography and an artist's book where images are worked in space, stretched, in torsion towards their rupture. 

<What is happening?>:  

Photos of nature threatened by civilization, with a number of breaks in the structure of the image: these multiple photos are to be presented combined together in three vertical columns.  

<And yet and why>:  

Photographs of a chemical, or bacteriological, or viral threat affecting not only humans, but all of nature, makes spaces sterile and ghostly.
